Thanks and Giving, Tips for A Festive Thanksgiving Holiday
Thanks and Giving, Tips for A Festive Thanksgiving Holiday
This year we have so much to be grateful for. Particularly in my family, we have maintained our health and our spirits over the past year and a half of lockdown. And now that we are able to open up and venture out, we appreciate all of our close friends, our family, our clients, vendors, neighbors, more than ever. We know so many people who have struggled. And we want this Thanksgiving to be extra special because of all that we have gone through. In light of these beautiful holidays and what they mean to you, we at Gina Lauren Interiors, would like to share some helpful tips that we have compiled to help make your Thanksgiving one to remember.
Set the Table.
To make this year extra special, you’ll want to make sure to set the table. Pull out your favorite Thanksgiving holiday table setting decor and start setting the table for that special day. Setting the table helps to get in the holiday spirit and it helps set the mood for everyone near and dear. Even if you’re not hosting this year, setting your family table will help instill a holiday spirit that is festive, fun and exciting.
2. Find Your Favorite Recipes.
I love scouring food blogs and cooking websites to find the best of the holiday best. With so much cooking and yummy goodness to look forward to, you’ll want to make sure to find all your special holiday recipes for your Thanksgiving dinner. If you have family favorites that have been passed down from generation to generation, there’s nothing better than planning for and whipping up those delicious recipes. In my family, we tend to mix it up with the recipes and try a new dish every year. Sometimes, if we’ve especially loved a specific dish one year, we’ll all make a request for that family member to make it again. But many times, we like to mix it up and serve something different each year. Everyone contributes a dish in our family and is free to choose and select the recipe that they want. How does your family celebrate?
3. Decorate! Decorate! Decorate!
With so much fall decor out there, its no wonder you can decorate in any style and theme you want. If you love all the fall colors, there’s nothing like going on a quick shopping trip to your favorite home decor store and grabbing as much as you can. If you always do the same color scheme year after year, mix it up a bit this year. Adding some pops of blue are complementary to the warm orange and amber hues of fall. If you love a traditional red, orange, and yellow color scheme add a little natural texture to your table setting or decor. Nothing beats fall like all the fun, festive decor out there.
4. Serving Ware
Make sure if you’re hosting that you have all the necessary serving ware to make your holiday a success. If you need to stock up on platters, tableware, cutting boards, and the like, its the perfect time to grab those essentials. With so many cute patterns, colors, shapes and new and unique items out there, you’ll want to make this season one to remember. The best part is that you can re-use all of these favorite items whenever you have a special gathering. No holiday required.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner and with our tips for a festive holiday, you’ll have fun preparing, and getting your family and home ready for the season.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
XO,
Gina
