Fall Home and Fashion Trends
Fall Home and Fashion Trends
Fall is in the air and right around the corner. We are so excited for all the new round up of products and amazing home decor trends that we are seeing everywhere. Fresh pieces are arriving in all the stores and we are rounding up the latest and greatest on this season’s hottest looks.
Fortunately for those who like to stay current, many of these trends are spilling over from summer with slight updates. If you loved the blue and green hues that dominated Spring and Summer then you’ll love to know that they are going even deeper in color with rich jewel tones. If you fell in love with curved silhouettes, they are here to stay with an even more organic twist. Even the stone trend will continue on with experts predicting an uptick in beautiful marble pieces and even warmer hues.
While there are some new things to try, of course, there are a few small tweaks to your summer look you’ll want to also incorporate, which is great news for your budget and your schedule. So start planning your refresh now with the latest fall trends ahead.
WARM WOOD AND EARTHY TONES

Warm earthy wood tones and lighter earthy palettes are in for fall. If you want to try the look, an abstract wooden coffee table would be a great piece to try in your space. Or if your budget is smaller, try a wooden cutting board, serving tray or coasters.
Also rattans and braided fibrous materials will provide the earthy-feel so popular in todays home decor trends. While it may seem counterintuitive as the temperatures begin to drop, embracing softer more golden tones makes it easy to incorporate anywhere in your home. Baskets, serving trays, vases, and even in lighting. Using pieces in this color family will feel fresh, warm and inviting and is here to stay all throughout this season.

MARBLE

Though marble has been around for a long time and is not exactly new in its useage, what is favored now is the warmer red and brown veining of Calacatta golds, instead of the cool gray of Carrara marble that we’ve been seeing everywhere. With that said, the cooler tones are still around with CB2 launching a gorgeous marble collection of white, gray and black decorative objects, tables and more, which shows that this material is going to be seen a whole lot more in the coming months.

CURVES
Curves are here to stay and this design trend is not going anywhere, anytime soon. So lets embrace this new fall home decor trend. This form is showing up in all ways with sofas, chairs, tables, mirrors, pillows and decorative objects. The curved form takes on an organic shape and feel for the fall season. Adding playful shapes into your space can really add a transitional and upgraded element to your home.

JEWEL TONES
If you’re over earth tones, or just not a fan then you’re in luck. Jewel tones are coming back and are more beautiful than ever. As fall approaches, more and more people are wanting to bring color into their spaces. And for those who have a love of deep rich colors, then this design trend is for you. Summer’s top design color trend was deep blues and greens which can bring a lot of warmth and serenity to any space. If you incorporate some deeper rich colors with your already subtle hues throughout your space, you’ll be incorporating a beautiful monochromatic design to your home which will elevate any home interior.

LOTS OF LAYERING

Layering is what brings comfort and warmth to any space. Think of mixing patterns, bringing in imperfect gallery photo walls, different size and shape area rugs, graphic and moody hues, checkerboard patterning on fabrics and wall coverings, plaster walls in non-white colors, and a craving for vintage art, mixing all sorts of shapes, sizes and patterns. This all amounts to what is called layering and we love it for everything it is!

With all the amazing fall trends descending upon us this season we are excited to incorporate many of these into our client projects. Even thinking about the existing projects we are working on today, we are definitely bringing in a lot of that warmth of earth tones, jewel colors, layering and a whole lotta curves. Tell us what your favorite fall home decor trend is or better yet send us a quick message showing us what trends you’ve been working on in your own space. We love to see what our readers are working on.
Happy Fall!
