2024 Design Trends We're Loving
unknown
Every year we take stock of where we’ve been, and we look forward to what’s up and coming for the new year. Design trends come and go, and though we like to think of ourselves as a design firm that sits firmly on the classic and modern transitional side, Gina and the design team still get inspired by some of the most trendy design elements that come and go each year. Part of our aesthetic is being able to effortlessly blend timeless design elements with current trends.
To give you an idea of what you’ll be seeing in the design industry in 2024, we’ve pulled together a few of our favorites, the design trends we’re loving and looking forward to seeing more of. From colors we’ll be incorporating into our Gina Lauren Interiors projects to materials you’ll be seeing in our pieces, here are the 2024 design trends we are absolutely loving right now.
Jake Arnold
Quiet Luxury
This trend emphasizes timelessness and classic lines and materials, investment pieces that you can build a room around and that the pieces can take on many lives and evolve through reupholstery. This trend originally came about from the show “Succession.” Luxurious soft textured fabrics, warm rich woods and quieter patterns for large furniture will reign supreme and are the hallmark of this design trend.

Monochromatic Rooms
This trend incorporates a single color in varying hues throughout a space. Its considered tone-on-tone decorating and allows for the simplicty in shape, form, texutre and line to come through each piece individually and throughout the space as a whole. This is great for those who love simple and refined interiors and not a lot of color throughout.
Apartment Therapy
Brown’s and Red’s
These rich and bold colors are about to have their shining moment. From lacquered walls to velvet drapery to heavy textured linen sofas, these colors will soon be everywhere. Tending away from the gray color range, the browns and reds offer warmth evoking more moodier spaces.

China Pantries
Clients are asking for rooms similar to butler pantries for their china collections, and designed and displayed in a way that has a very retail quality. These spaces highlight a client’s fine table collections with specialty lighting, angled shelving to give the pieces a visual display quality similar to what you’d see in a high end specialty shop.

Stripes
Stripes will be everywhere. Its traditional and modern, yet classic too. Candy cane like stripes that are big and bold, but also muted in a way that makes an appearance in a soft understated way.
Jean Stoffer Design
Dark Wood Paneling
We’re seeing a revival of dark wood paneled walls to create warmth and coziness throughout a space. Echoing mother nature and the natural world, using dark wood paneling creates a warm and cozy feeling throughout a room.

Marble Accessories
The use of stone or marble furniture and accessories is also making a come back. Whether a marble coaster, or tray, coffee table, etc, these pieces are coming back in a big way that elevates the beauty of the material.

Local Craftsmakers
Any local artisan and craftsman that can create those special details for you and with a handmade quality that lasts over time. Gone are the days of fast and cheap materials and in are quality, timelessness and unique details that are specific for your taste.
Jungalow
Mixing Textures
This trend that is coming about has been around for awhile but it is even more prevalent now. Plastered walls with wood floors or ceilings, mixing mohairs, corduroys or velvets and tactile finishes that will age well over time. The subtle mixture of materials suggests that a room has been collected over time, and thought and effort has gone into each piece.
